Peter Walser is running the McCain’s Yorkshire Coast 10K this Sunday alongside his brother Nick, son Andrew, niece Frankie and Frankie’s fiancé Mike, who are all travelling from around the UK to be at the event. Peter is hoping to raise much-needed funds for the homeless and vulnerable in our community, including the new Afghan arrivals. With what promises to be a challenging and difficult winter approaching, your support is needed more than ever. Every donation, no matter how small, is vital and is so gratefully received. The route is run along the sea front from the Spa to the Sealife Centre and back again so please go down and cheer on Peter and his family this Sunday at 10am!
UPDATE FROM PETER * Well, we did it! Nursing a few aching limbs today, but all went well. The younger members outran their elders as is right and proper, but we all made it and the forecasted rain didn’t materialise so all is good. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of who who have donated so generously – your gifts will be much needed this winter and be assured they will be put to good use.
